Lindsay Toia Photography
From about the age of twelve, I’ve been photographing the world around me. By seventeen, equipped with a camera and some photography classes under my belt, I launched Lindsay Toia Photography. At that time, it was an online store, where I sold canvases and giclée prints of my photography, mostly of landscapes and nature subjects. AKA - some beautiful sunsets, and for some reason, lots of seagulls.
So many seagulls.
Also at around age seventeen, I was running an Instagram page called Nantucket Street Style. I coined the idea for creating an online community that featured the vacationeers of ACK in their island attire. It was a fun page to run, but I was only on Nantucket for one week out of the year, so maintaining it became difficult. The aspirations I had for it were bigger than just sharing UGC of girls in striped sweaters- I wanted to dial into the community of small businesses that flourished there.
so, why the backstory?
Years later, now a twenty-something living in a quaint neighborhood nestled in a New England city (The North End of Boston), I found myself missing two things: photography, and connection to the small businesses in my community.
And thus, Lindsay Toia Photography was (re)born.
